I like this girl...but she has a crush on someone she cant have, what do i do?

i like this girl alot, were both pretty shy but weve gotten to kno each other fairly well in the last few months...i have no trouble talking to her (however i often am the one to start the conversation)...i asked her out on more than one ocasion, as freinds (for now) to more or less get to kno her better...she has never said "no" but she comes up with excuses that dont always seem to make sense when i suggest we do something...

first let me say im sure its not cause she just flat out dosent like me and dosent want to hurt my feelings cause she specifically refered to me in a blog and had only good things to say

i have put two and two together (based on a few of her myspace surveys) and im am 90% sure that this is most likley due to the fact that she has a huge crush on this guy, she hardly ever see and who already has a steady gf..

she has no chance with this guy, im worried shes letting life pass her by waiting (im not saying this just cause i want to go out with her)

well, you wait for her to get over her stupid feelings for this guy she won't have or u get over her. i no it sucks but its about the only options...

You could try talking to her frankly and telling her she doesn't have a chance with her crush; but, honestly, she's likely to see that as interference / jealousy and get mad.

The better choice is to realize that you can't force her to like you more or go out with you. Her feelings are tied to this other guy, and you can't change that. If the relationship is as impossible as you say, she needs to realize that on her own. You really should just let her have her crush while you move on with life.
